(Stand Up and Fight)

Browne's 120 year mark. [12 Jun 2007|07:45pm]

This might be out of place in the community but, such a great achievement. If you are in KC I encourage you to enjoy.

Should be a good time.

Venues? [06 Sep 2005|11:28pm]

So a little self-promotion---

My band, Potato Famine, is looking for places to play in the Mid-ohio, Western PA, WVa region. Anyone got any ideas, connections, good bars?

Our website is as such--

Check it out, listen to our stuff--we have a few songs under "Downloads"--let me know what you think, and if you have any decent places for gigs-
or if you're in the area, check back once we get our calender up and come see us!

has anyone else here picked up the new dropkick murphys album? what do you think of it? it just came out a few weeks ago and i can't stop listening to it. I really love the title track, the warriors code. if you don't have the album yet you can listen to a few of the songs here on Epitaph's site. has anyone seen them on warped tour this summer? what did you think of their show? boston's boys are doing it again!

I heard Blood or Whiskey got an American label...but did they release an album on it? And if they did, how wide a release was it...i.e. would I be able to find it in Asscrackton, NH?

PS-If you ever get the chance to see them live, do so. They're nuts.

Hey Folks,

So I'm on a search---I'm looking for an internet resource where I can get sheet music--as in notes, clefs, etc, rather than chords or tabs---for trad. irish stuff. Anyone know of anything reliable and good? I;m trying to avoid buying one of the big books of music--quite expensive, etc, and lets face it, I'm a college student.

And the new recomendation for music--- check out Spirit of the West's album "Labour day". Its a pretty old disc, but very good, especialy the begining few tracks--kind of like a mix between Treefrogs and Great Big Sea, Shenandoah folk & Irish/Newfoundland.

Free Ipod. [26 Sep 2004|12:42pm]

Hi kids.
Help me out here, please!

This really works, I promise, but only if I refer people to do the same thing.

Click -----> http://www.freeiPods.com/default.aspx?referer=9126322 for a free ipod.

It works. I swear. I've talked to many people who have recieved free ipods through this site.

Just click on the link, sign up, refer five friends, sign up for one of their fairly inexpensive offers, and get your free ipod.

Sorry for X-posting. I'm desperate. None of my friends will sign up.

I was just at my Irish family reunion (The O'Leary's!) today, and I was just curious if anyone else had any celtic backround. Oh, and the reunion sucked. None of the cool relatives showed up so it was just all the psycho ones.

Does anybody know any good websites for the Highland Games, and what brand of Bagpipe is the easiest to play on and the best sounding? and help would be appreciated.

Yay! I figured out how to post! [11 Aug 2004|09:35am]

Hey there all of you, I'm Erin.
16, from NH (sigh) and I'm an Irish and Scottish EVERYTHING fan.
Particularly accents and music. And movies, too.

Let's see. For bands, I like Flogging Molly, DKM, Filthy Thievin' Bastards, some of the Cockney Rejects, and Seven Nations. I've seen Seven Nations, and I was going to see DKM but my mom wouldn't let me, and I was going to see Flogging Molly but my mom wouldn't let me.

Well, have a grand day, all.
